Rob started boating and water skiing when he was nineteen in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) which inspired a career in the marine industry, initially in South Africa, then in Hong Kong and finally, Sydney.  

RHJ Marine Trimming comes off the back of being a boating person for many years. When it got to the stage of needing to replace the clears on his Riviera Fly Bridge, a trimmer friend suggested that he should replace the clears himself. With his help. Rob did the cutting and the trimmker friend did the sewing.  That led to buying an industrial sewing machine and the fun began. “Can you do this for me?” “Can you do that for me?” Soon, all his mates wanted jobs done. From boat covers to seats and upholstery and a few funnies inbetween.

Frustration to improve lead to a few years at TAFE in Sydney’s Ultimo doing their Motor and Marine Trimming course. Now, eight years later and full time, the photo gallery will give a small idea of what RHJ Marine Trimming does. 

The ethos of RHJ Marine Trimming is to bring years of boating experience into play and to make each job work for its owner.
